In retrospect the arguments we had with him seem laughable now. A good lesson for anyone to look at the available data over scaremongering. The community on this hotcopper board has always been one of the better ones offering objective information on sales, industry data etc and the reality is many of us here were objectively in front of the fundies and short sellers who never bothered to actually care about information but rather focused on emotion and vague expectation.

I only wish I had invested more money in this during that period and unfortunately myself bought into some of the scare tactics to derisk my portfolio. I actually loaded up in my parents portfolio at the time which I manage because I'm a less concerned with risk there and kept a lower percentage in my own funny enough.
