I haven't missed your point at all, I just blatantly don't agree with you!
TA is perfect for long term holding and if used correctly will maximise profits.

It will keep you in stocks whilst in an uptrend and remove you from them when in a downtrend!

You've missed the point again as TA doesn't need to consider the variables!

If you held stocks that lost 90% during a gfc to recover 5 years later is just a strategy that is not recommended.

Your safe assumptions aren't that safe when you try and second guess what someone does. I will hold stocks whilst they are heading up, and not down for an infinite amount of time.

You've provided no TA but are quick to judge and critique mine, how about you do something proactive and Offer a chart, go on, and include your TA please!
