3DP and Nearmap comparison, page-4

you seem to be across the Nearmap story.... and how it relates to 3DP.

i am still catching up on the tech and the relationships/companies here



and so..... if i may..... a question / scenario....!

Nearmap are said to be looking to expand / improve their 3D offering in the near future - allowing users to free themselves from a somewhat "desktop" environment... and soon to enable access to Nearmap "3D representations" from anywhere (no doubt referring to cloud-based product / gateway???)

do you think that the relationship between NEA & 3DP is of the type that NEA would use or "white-hat" Pointerra software to reach that aim?

or....

would NEA be more inclined to create "from nothing"..... software & systems that would allow Nearmap customers to access NEA 3D data-set from a cloud based gateway

my thinking is.....

if NEA "whitehat" existing 3DP tech.... 3DP makes more money.
if NEA make their own cloud type gateway... 3DP may miss a nice little earner
