probably worth doing a google news search on "jatropha"; some very interesting articles about the plant. The reports support MBT's strategy of focussing on jatropha as a feed for making biofuel that does not compete with food chain. Very bullish for MBT as other airlines will be looking for partners. MBT has distillation equipment which, with some minor modification could very likely produce jet fuel as well as diesel as a product. As anybody who understands oil refining will know, diesel and jet fuel are "straight run side cuts" and with some equipment modification I would guess MBT's plant could produce small quantities of jet fuel to be blended in tank with the larger quantities of crude oil derived jet fuel. Overlaying this concept is the ability for the airline to generate carbon credits and I would guess any modifications to MBT's plant could qualify as a CDM project. Comments?
