Not as small as it seems - here's why: until recently software was licensed through payment of a capital sum (say $14million)w. PME have been among the industry frontrunners in licensing software as a service. there is no capital sum here and software is licensed as it is installed.
This is good for both the licensee and licensor as their business interests are aligned. For example, it suits both parties to install promptly and effectively- This means that the customer benefits from the prompt implementation and PME enjoys an income stream in line with the prompt implementation. This usually leads to more users coming onto the system than under the capital sum method - a win:win.
I am sure other HC people can explain this more eloquently that me and I am happy to be corrected.
