10 years ago the governement sold a service dept to P& O for 20 million, in 3 months P&O sold eqiupment for 100 million, they then had a 5 year contract and then had it renewed, they then sold that off at a profit. bottom line was the defence got no service and the governement torn up millions. they retrenched tradespeople with years of experience that they could not replace so they had to hire them as contractors and of course had to pay them more than before. this was set in place 5-6 years before it was sold, planned by Minister Judd at the time, what a waste of space he was.
