You're right, what matters is operating profit. I actually factored in a temporary increase in expenses until the new ovens are proven to work. However, I was conservative on the new run rate for June, probably too conservative.
On the less important item, DTA - any reason why they won't just recognise the lot? Blind Freddy can see they're going to use it all very soon, and there's no need to muddy future accounting periods with it.
