Actually an uninhabited island away from today's "Society" sounds good! I am sure i could convince a few hot Russian or Ukrainian anarchist women to join me and start a new civilizationsmile.png.

Ah yes, we have lower tax rates today than back then for sure. But it was usually only the rich 1% that paid taxes back then, And I am sure a lot of people dodged the tax man easier than is possible in today's online world. Also a lot of tax revenue came from duties and excises; The average proletariat was too poor or too oppressed, So its mostly relative.

And relatively speaking; In modern times, in Australia did you know that the ratio between individuals paying tax and corporations paying tax; In 2008 it was 64% of individuals paying all the federal tax revenue and corporations paying the rest. ( And we both know that some corporations are handed tax breaks and some pay no tax at all, and they get generous concessions and deductions and pay their tax quarterly at a lower rate than individuals)

Today 74% of individuals have the burden of tax revenue compared to corporations

That is a "trajectory" of 10% per decade.

At this "Trajectory" individuals will front close to all tax revenue by 2050, without the generous right off's, concessions and deductions that corporations are privy too. here in Australia.

But you just keep being a good citizen and pay your taxes.
