It's possible that the alternate location mentioned in LPD's latest quarterly is Ravensthorpe or nearby, but I would be surprised. All of the planning and work that has gone into drilling and preparing Alvarroes, then not to use it?
Plus, I would be stunned and enraged if the LPD team were planning a shift (and therefore a delay) of P1 on the back of a possible restart of a marginally economic mine in WA. Making your feasibility study dependent on someone else's is a huge pile of risk, and there would have to be ridiculous savings involved to make it worthwhile.
I could see the possibility of a P1.5 arrangement possibly being sorted out, but not anytime soon.
