From the perspective of energy density the lithium cell does not compare to hydrogen. Hydrogen has over 200 times the energy density of lithium and only three times the energy cost, this energy cost disadvantage is reduced in a low energy cost environment while the energy density disadvantage of lithium will remain. Lithium should stop playing hard to get and accept that the two work well together.
