Ash,GR ,i'm started to get cautiously excited.
Two articles in AFR,lol and they didn't block me from reading them.
AFR 'telstra property trust plans revealed ,UBS hired for $1.5b sale'.
If article correct what i like is tls maintaining a controlling interest in the property trust of 51% ie properties being the tls exchanges. We all new tls was selling various assets of approx $2b but the detail has always been confusing. What i like is the suggested plan for tls to sell 49%ie maintain a controlling interest.Hmm this i feel is what is going to happen with infraco. When infraco is sold i believe,as posted tls debt will not be an issue at all.But what i really like is this will give tls a war chest to fund expansion of ,yes energy'. as per following AFR article.
AFR 'telstra puts industry groups on notice on climate'.
Telstra is complaining industry groups are not taking climate change seriously.Normally a stupid tree hugging opinion like this would annoy the crap out of me,But reading the detail tls raises concerns about global warming, carbon emissions etc as i freeze in melbourne, the polar bears are getting fat in alaska and the alaskan ferrys can't b used because of record ice.
Ash my point, imo i hate wind turbines, solar has a place in energy absolutely but its not realistic to expect solar panels and batteries to provide base load energy for australia. Then u have the use by date of solar panels and batteries and still no recycling plan.
So tls specifically mentions carbon emissions and clearly tls would understand base load and tls in article suggests they have a responsibility to provide other industries with such energy hence recent application besides article. So Nuclear modules have no carbon emissions, its developing technology,no construction of nuclear plants required and of imperative importance its base load.I believe as issues with rolling out to many solar panels/batteries start to appear etc nuclear will start to look more obvious and tls will have the war chest to roll them out.
ps and not just b a electricity grid supplier but belong will re sell energy at some stage, maybe when chaitman resigns .
As both sides of the US govt said, nuclear is a safe, clean energy ,trump and obama's comments should b quoted more often along with all countries with nuclear power ..
