I was responding to coalking who actually said that. I personally never thought that that is the case, which is why I asked him for clarification.
The way I see it, the fact is this:
The join venture is called fastbrick Australia,
So what is the venture? FBR buy bricks from a brick making business called brickworks.
50/50 venture, why?
Because it consists of 50 percent aka FBR buying the bricks and another 50 percent of brickworks selling the bricks for FBR to buy.
Tada 50/50 venture.
The funniest announcement I have ever read ever. So silly!
If FBR just buy bricks normally from brickworks without being fancy and calling it a joint venture then the end result would be absolutely exactly the same. So why bother?
