With respect to Western politics there is no vision any more. Just an aim to feather ones (Politicians) nest and be ‘seen’. It’s now about brinksmanship and power. service comes a poor second, if indeed anywhere.

Here in Australia the politicians aim for the seats in the capitals and promise the earth to those areas at election time. The rest of the nation is left to rot. That is shameful.

Where is the plan plan for the country? We have nothing. The debate on here is as puerile as the Politicians’. Often resulting in abuse and name calling. As your first responder for this OP said - social media is poisonous. The logical debate, which you have started, and I am an adherent to, should be ‘What are our politicians and their politics doing for us? Answer? Zero. Living on he back of resources because everyone needs them. But what about planning for our future and the future of those that are outside the resource sector?

We could and should be aiming to feed to feed most of Asia - I spoke to a Victorian in rural Qld this week. His view? Identical. He questioned, infrastructure, planning, and growth. Lots of people are now asking the right questions? What do you do for us?

I sent a letter to my local LNP MP and told him his party was Bereft of ideas and policy. Labour is much the same I wrote to them too and told them.

Enough is enough for Me. I won’t vote far right or far left. They are just equal brands of moron on two extremes. And that leaves an empty postal vote.

You’re equally right with D Trump. He had an opportunity to improve the States. Big fail from a small minded idiot.

There was an advert in the UK saying “The futures bright, The futures Orange”. It wasn’t talking about D Trump.
