I used to vote Labor when Hawke then Keating were in power. I didn't always agree with their policies but they had a vision and leadership qualities.
Ditto when Howard got in I switched to the Liberal party.
Since then it's been all downhill I'm afraid.
Rudd, Gillard, Rudd MK2, Abbott, Turnbull you can put the whole lot out on the street for all I care.
I don't mind Morrison but he's no John Howard.
Shorten is a mongrel and I'll be putting the ALP second last ahead of the Greens on the bottom.
It's independent candidates only for me nowadays....
For me the day was 11/11/75. That was day democracy as we knew it for 75 years collapsed. It was the day I was cheated of the consequences of my own and half+ of the population's actions. The lesson I learned then was that people's choice is second to corruption of power. The knock on effect is the population have become like Tricoteuse yearning for the next chop.
