I wouldn't get too excited Polly. Even Calaway mentioned in the podcast it would not be strategic for the US government to fully fund/invest in the resource. But he did suggest perhaps they need to give more incentive to get the "private market" more confidence in investment in this area. Perhaps a new type of critical mineral credit/company tax relief? So I assume this was where he was going with this idea. Mentioned Tesla and their credits etc.. This would see a better IRR or stimulate investors.

At this stage it appears we are getting some fast tracing in regards to mine permitting from Government side of things (it would appear this way at least) which could be another quiet achievement in itself. Think about how useful it would be to reduce long lead time items.

Getting a project to construction sooner rather than later has a number of large advantages:

    1) Production = earnings
    2) Less lead times = less building mine time = faster IRR
    3) Finished projects are more appealing to larger lithium players to M&A or JV - source Li Bull stating that larger businesses tend to buy up projects that are just starting production or just about too.

Biggest short term issue is getting finance, as Calaway said this commodity doesnt have a particularly long financing history and the price has been quite volatile. But loved his fight. Even if the government doesnt help, he basically said "well fine we will manage". But as long as its been talked about that they should try too. If they can show big players that this resource in the US is only 2 of a kind globally (Jada - Rio Tinto) with it being in the heart of US and not being evaluated, ready to go, the returns stack up and the environmental factors stack up. How could you not finance it?

Can you imagine what this stock will be worth in 3/4 years when the mine/chemical processing has been sorted, its ready for production and if the commodity price turns bullish more so than 16/17?
