thanks jb that Wikipedia link is great, I previously searched Yandi but it usually came up with Geology PhDs that didn't mean a whole lot...CID sounds more like alluvial gold so it's been worn down and eroded into smaller particles over millions of years...now the headwater reference makes more sense, not quite as romantic as my image of a molten river of iron carrying dividends to shareholders but iron is iron, who am I to complain.
Today will be interesting UMC has been extremely resilient in a lousy market but it takes a brave trader to be out of this in the next few weeks with the JORC and perhaps drill results meantime.
