@cfp ......"maybe WFE has given the ASX a good reason for not releasing it just yet and the ASX is content"
What is a good reason for delaying the quarterly report?? Not just here but for any company??
IMHO there are no good reasons, never seen one from any company.
The quarterly cashflow report is for the past quarter. As part of the report is an indication of expected expenditure for the next quarter. If expected expenditure is above cash available, the ASX wants to know how the company is going to stay liquid. It is companies that can't answer that question that are suspended if trading, and those that are not trading (ie currently suspended) come under extra scrutiny from the ASX.
The ASX is not just about protecting existing shareholders, but those that could potentially buy on market in the future.
In my experience investors have a very dim view of companies that are in long suspensions and can't complete their listing requirements, usually because it ends badly for investors.
There is a long list of delisted companies that had great plans, long suspensions, ran out of cash and just disappeared.
Despite the ongoing talk of a few posters on these threads about re-listing being just around the corner, great news coming in the next week or 2, etc, etc, the simple fact is that the last announcement from the company was a statement about asking the ASX for more in-principle advice, nothing more. None of the prior 'just around the corner' great announcements have materialised, so why would anyone expect one in a week or 2??
By now the company should have released the quarterly, but no there is something wrong that has prevented them from releasing it. None of us know why, but we can guess.
If I was a shareholder I would definitely have been on the phone requesting information of why the quarterly has not been released. Because of this long suspension and lack of information release, I'm glad I'm not!!
There are plenty of shareholders that read these threads but never post, I'm fairly sure a lot of them would see the red flag in the posters here that want to attack posters asking questions, instead of trying to get answers from the company and relaying it other shareholders via the forum.
The simple question of why the quarterly has not been released seems to have infuriated a lot of the usual ramping posters, why?? Why are you so keen to close down discussion on this very important point?? Why are you not getting stuck into the company for failure to meet their statutory requirements??
