"As journeys go, the electric vehicle trip has started slowly and that has frustrated some, including the Labor Party, which will play the impatient parent given the chance. It’s saying, in effect: “We’ve got to be there by 2030! Get in that electric car now!”.
Until recently, you’d have looked around and wondered, “What EV?” There were so few to choose from. However, evidence that the car industry has got serious about this project has started arriving in local showrooms and within a few years the trickle will become a charge. Soon there'll be dozens to choose from, across most vehicle types."
