They short them (i.e. sell them for cash) and then re-buy them at a lower price and their profit is the cash difference..
Super funds dont want there money back.. they want stocks back.. So they are transferred off-market..
Superfunds lose out though becuase the share price falls greater than borrowing fee. which is strange business from s funds?
