mums and dads sell out professionals move in

According to one particular very expensive programme Carrick has bottomed. Maybe others are also working from this programme and that's why the share price bounced off its ridiculous low. Pity those who sold 20c cheaper than today's price.
I had one shareholder phone me up wondering whether he should sell now and I told him how the proverbial mums and dads sell at the bottom. It is this point where the mums and dads sell out and swear they will never touch shares again.
They sell at the point where they panic that the shares have gone so low they are going to lose their remaining capital. It's that point of panic where the professionals buy.
Likewise at the point of euphoria where the shares are going through the roof and look like they are going much higher is where the mums and dads buy, thinking they can't go wrong. That's when the wise ones sell and wait for a correction. It's always easy to be wise after the event though.
I had someone growling at me the other day that Carrick had gone so low and most likely blamed me for recommending them. Everyone has to make their own decisions. I just tell them the ups and downs of the share price have no effect whatsoever on the actual value of the assets of the company.
They have five million ounces of gold (one of those to be announced shortly), the grade is going up, it's open cut mineable and they have a good two million more ounces to prove up. At some point the vale of the company will be properly realised.
I haven't sold and am serenely comfortable holding my shares during these dips. I hope you are too.
