The latest update on the TUI well production figures clearly illustrates what we have been saying for some time - that total production from TUI is going to exceed 14 million barrels by the end of June.
On the NZOG website under the TUI heading the following information appears:
"Total production up to 11 June 2008: 13.6 million barrels. 13.4 million barrels have been shipped.
NZOG's share of production to date: approximately 1.7 million barrels."
So from 11 June TUI has a mere 400,000 barrels to produce to reach 14 million barrels. Now at a very conservatively low 40,000 barrels per day that will be 10 days (say about June 21) but at the possible current rate of about 45,000 barrels per day that could happen about June 19 = Thursday this coming week.
The 14 million barrels milestone could also be a suitable time for the upgrade information on the TUI well to be made public. A sort of double whammy towards the end of the week.
If 14 million is reached by Thursday then that will still leave about 10 or 11 days of production to go before the end of June ( say about another 450,000 barrels above 14 million.)
