Bitcoin maintenance & mining (using big powerful computers) consumes more electricity than all the solar panels in the world .... what a waste. It makes the use of seashells for currency seem perfectly sensible (and undoubtedly more natural). Gold too is a nonsense - vast amounts of none renewable energy, environmental destruction (just ask why the Phillipines is so anti-mining) and massive diversion of financial resources and good brain power are caused by gold production which in the final analysis is a very durable compact door stopper or paper weight.
I invest in gold companies for profit, but I get the same uneasy feeling doing so, as an antismoking doctor does investing in tobacco companies.
Ditto marijuana companies which are glorified alcohol alternatives ..... yeah yeah .... I very well aware of all the hype about medicinal cannabis, but I believe that the vast proportion of sales will be to 'recreational drug users' - making our society even less sober .... OMG, this election circus has completely unbalanced me .... vote for change, vote NO Tony, No Dutton, No ScoMo, No K Philips, NO Clive for gods sake, and No Barnababy !
And buy more RED while they still remain cheap.
