PZ99, In my opinion the sheer demand of this thing will outweigh any complaints of cost..at $250 per injection and even if completely unsubsidised, it will still have a huge demand once the general public get on to this...the GP's will simply suggest it as the most (relatively) risk free tiny side effect solution...The governments will eventually see that it is MULTI thousands for a hip or knee replacement -v- a couple of grand for PPS..(note: obviously this wont be a solution for all patients that have OA) and it will be at least partly covered under the various schemes such as PBS. Its a tiny cost for getting rid of pain, increased functionality and very little to no side effects -v- surgery or the nasty effects of current non effective treatments....compelling in my books.
