Pre drill estimates...



Kiliwani North-1 was drilled into the northern end of what was previously referred to as the Songo Songo South lead.

Expectations were exceeded at Kiliwani North-1, but clearly underwhelming at the first Kiliwani-1 well.

I personally believe Kiliwani-1 was a dud which poorly targeted the Neocomian Sandstones, down dip from the main accumulation and below the Gas Water Contact (GWC) where it was finally intersected.

In my view, Kiliwani North-1 adds weight to the view the main Kiliwani structure (previously Songo Songo South), may still be viable.

Importantly, the lower water contact changes the target zone dynamics somewhat, further suggesting the Kiliwani-1 was simply a miss hit.

The fact the seismic was also out at this location gives me the final level of confidence a follow up well targeted further south on the Kiliwani target will come up trumps!

But...will they drill this next in preference to a Songo Songo West drill...or KN-2 development well?

Hard to say...but nice to have so many options.
