I get some what peturbed when religion is a simple target.

It is like saying a black man killed a person ergo all black men a killers,

Religion has been hijacked because whilst the many were once followers and easily chose to be, the reverse is now true.
In short, we shouldn't blame religion for human frailties. It would be like blaming George Bush for the war in Iraq.
