Naturally she forgot to mention that the electricity grid will not be able to cope with the load and the fluctuations, so all the poles and cables will need to be upgraded to cope. Then it seems firms need to be encouraged with subsidies from the government but who is going to pay that in the long term, and how much will that cost. Then, the sun does not always shine, even in Malaysia, so how are we going to cope with demand/supply issues when the Monsoon is on. Now some might suggest we could use battery banks for back up, in that case, would it not be advantageous to have your own local RE source?
