I smell something in the air. Why does a Co, presumeably a little light on the readdies, spend the money to call a special meeting, just to vote options to one geologist. There will be an agm in a few months; Why couldn't it wait until then? Only one point on the adgenda! Nothing else.
Surely he could have a promise in writing that it would go to a vote at the agm meeting.
Perhaps being cynical, but the last time a co of mine did this - called a special meeting just a short time before an agm; and just to tell shareholders how pleased they were at progress; a raft of options were suddenly presented to all and sundry. And within weeks of that, shares had gone from 6 to 30 - and within another month or two, to 80.
And what am I smelling? Well, I think the reason is, there isn't time. If he waits for the agm the exercise prices are going to be way higher. He wants then locked in now. And I'm guessing. But I smell another flare on the way. We need spies in the orange grove. Anyway, hope that guess panes out. cheers jwt
