3 hours for brine to lithium carbonate will be a game changer when they get it running. Spodumene still needs to be converted to carbonate or hydroxide unless used in applications like ceramics. My expectations are that that kind of technology change will make it very difficult for potential spod mines to start production in the future because it already takes years, based on existing players experience, to get to profitable production runs as it is.
Any experts thoughts?
