SS - lots of questions here, remember I'm not a company insider and I'm not even in the medical field, but I do have a good amount vested in this stock (My biggest holding by a large percentage)and I have been researching this one almost every day. I've held it since inception and have added to it heavily in the last 6 months. I have read evidence from the patients, Ive gone through the toughest medical journals and Ive spoken to employees of the company. My conviction is solid.
The short term catalysts can simply be found in PAR's own presentation which was issued in MAY:
The big Phramas are already starting to show interest by the initiation of some discussions, however it is not compelling enough to proceedthus PAR thought stuff it, we will do our own raise to get through the costly Phase 3 ourselves. Phase 3 costs are lower compared to the normal Phase 3 path as we already have the base drug PPS out in the market (Elmiron) and has been used for 40 + years!The real chance of a deal (and a big one at that) would be heightened as we draw closer to Phase 3 (Specially when the Phase 3 trail has been planned and designed and the FDA gives the go-ahead). PAR still may not agree to a deal if it isn't compelling enough. I personally think a deal at the right price would save a lot of time and headache as the big Pharmas already have distribution channels and relationships with the medical fraternities not to mention marketing and presentation required. Its a big pain in the ### to come up with distribution channels not to mentiona sales force/regional managers and reps and staff etc.
In my opinion a big catalyst would be successful treatment of the American Football players as this would draw the attention of the BIG American Share funds and Venture Capitalists along with the media over there. Don't forget, the investor community in the US are of totally different mindset and attitude to us Aussies generally speaking. ALSO another equally big catalyst would be the TSA approving PPS to be sold in Australia (this can happen before Phase 3), this will bring in revenue, nothing like a change from a loss making company to one that makes profit, it would no doubt propel the share price.See my previous post on PAR -v- CUV and how CUV went up from $1.40 to $5+.
