whether you pay tax or not, the franking credit is still worth 25cents to you.
because if that franking credit wasn’t there, you would have to dip into the 60cent cash component to pay your tax, but with the franking credit your don’t have to pay the tax on the dividend unless your earning over $150,000 and your effective tax rate is above 30%
