We are a bit in uncharted waters here I think. I'm no expert on IFL but my hope is that the share price has been harshly treated. Now I could be proven to be wrong.but I like to think that there is a lot of negativity out there as the result of the Commission findings which has cast a big shadow over AMP and the big 4 banks and IFL has been dragged down as well as a result.
There are also comments that throw doubt on IFL's future profitability and perhaps exposure to further costs from the Royal Commission findings. I am unsure how accurate those comments are. I would like to think that IFL is relatively free of the worst situations and will weather any of the possible upheaval that could affect other financial institutions. In other words I am hoping that IFL is strong and resilient and will sail through this disturbing period and perform well financially
But that might be blind loyalty and wishful thinking. I hope I'm right and that IFL's performance through the year will bear that viewpoint out. There is still a lot of volatility going on but another couple of months could see things improve.
