If you were an existing player facing a number of growing new entrants combined with you also having to pay higher royalties and taxes, what "message" would you send to the market to slow down the new entrants !
1) say you are going to expand quickly.
2) say prices will drop so not worth anyone else starting.
3) say it's not profitable anymore.
The interesting thing this does is limit new players and supply, which drives prices UP. Simple supply and demand.
Also worth noting, this helps companies that have cash to acquire smaller companies before the price does go up.
Interesting times ahead.
All IMO DYOR.
