I get a bit confused about franking credits and tax paid? Im a part owner of a company with the shares i bought and my dividends are taxed. Now that im self funded retired i get back only half and the government keep the other half. Which i am very happy with. I think everyones tax circumstances are different? Mine is not a SMSF, maybe i should look into that as i thinkkk its zero tax? So for the last 7 years since i retired i been getting back about half the tax paid.
