The issue for Macquarie analysts is poor weather in the US resulting in potentially high crop insurance claims. Apparently, some farmer organizations are advising growers to claim insurance rather than plant now that the sowing season has ended. Crop insurance is QBE's largest US exposure.
If there's a risk problem, QBE will naturally be in the middle of it!
