Problem is China isn't a democracy but sort of dictatorship. Xi can hang on to power more easily than Trump. I think Trump has to cut a deal sooner than later if he is to satisfy Wallstreet and keep some hope for 2020. At least that will give us some hope otherwise trade war between worlds biggest players means we are going to recession.
