With the trade war going on, traditional resource, mining, healthcare, consumer, agricultural, technology, and banking stocks are all getting well and truly hammered. Investors are now looking to be insulated insofar as possible from all the carnage and the PET share price tilt indicates that investors have begun to board the PET-Noah's Ark en massse to sail into less volatile phosphorus-free waters. The China business update was like a bright lighthouse beacon shining in a perfect storm attracting all manner of shipwrecked investors previously oblivious to taking water stocks seriously or had been watching but waiting to pull the trigger, until now.

Water is a fairly apolitical domestic issue for most countries and China is serious in reversing its self-inflicted ecological damage caused by its rapid modernisation. No point being a nouveau riche Chinese when you can only drink imported Perrier water and can only have milk baths and can't use any of the tap water pouring out of sterling silver taps.

Water is the backbone to all consumables too and guess which country in the World has the most thirsty mouths to satiate? An outrageous but inevitable future awaits China if it continues like it has towards the environment; which China knows it must avoid if it wants to keep its citizens from migrating or the country from imploding if it cannot safeguard its water supplies by improving water quality. China has no political or economic gain if it stops its own water remediation efforts and the Aussie PET kangaroo equipped with Made in China dragon skates (thanks to its revamped management structure) is ready, willing, and able to lend a helping hand.
