just thinking why doesn't LST just accept the higher $1.28 share offer for its Indophil share then proceed with the cash return to its shareholders.

I doubt Lion shareholders would accept this though.

Their interests are aligned with ours-they would also be waiting for a higher Xstrata offer and possible bidding war for Indophil.
