Question for anyone, but particularly those who believe SPT is worthless or a SELL: what about the idea of using SPT's service as a business to business tool? That is, a way for small business to manage lumpy or unexpected payments to suppliers. You need to make a large purchase, you can't finance it from cashflows, so why not pay it in interest free instalments on your credit card to avoid getting into a debt trap? It's a win for the supplier, since in return for paying a small (1.5%) fee, you are much more attractive to potential small business customers. It's a win for the SMB customer who can make big purchases in manageable payments.

I note that one of their latest merchants, Tiger Supplies, is basically a B2B merchant. It sells industrial grade engineering equipment, some gear being priced at $15k+ . How much more attractive would Tiger Supplies be to potential surveyors, engineers, architects who need to purchase equipment, knowing they can finance purchases on their credit card with 0% interest?

I remember reading about Atlassian's beginnings. At the start, the two founders had to max out their credit card to finance the tools they needed to build the company, because no bank would loan a 2 person tech startup any money. Sounds like interest free instalment payments on credit card would've made life easier for them back then.

What am I missing - where does the use case of Splitit as a B2B tool break down?
