It is pretty obvious too me what is happening since I posted this in the linked post, but for background here is that table again:

PLS/GXY/Min have as yet achieved their recovery rates so you will need more mines coming onstream to meet new demand given EV needs to 2025, and lithium needs in general in other markets, such as ceramics, glass, household storage batteries, and other appliance areas of lithium demand as well.

The gap in demand IMO will not be met by brine IMO given potash units are around 10 to15 units for each lithium unit in brine, meaning brine can't ramp up as quick, noting time lags in any event to ramp up, because you will crash potash prices and hence the viability of brine deposits per se. I went through that in this post: Post #: 38220639

And finally to repeat, the growing market is hydroxide and need low Fe content for that and there are few hard rock deposits that currently can supply the hydroxide market IMO with low Fe (and hence attract the premium prices). PLS is one that could supply the hydroxide market but at the moment it has been unable to achieve the required Fe specs IMO, and further more low Fe is important because of the significant costs downstream in removing Fe in the hydroxide process (even if feasible to do but that is a big if for high Fe content in spodumene sales, and hence how it translates to prices paid for spodumene there). Refer: Post #: 38364396

Hence why I suspect the market might be waking up to what AVZ has. Just a guess, just a half VB type of dude (of the 1/2 VB slab variety) and yes I note some are seeing the current price rally as a P&D but I think there is something else at play here.

    And time will tell.

    All IMO IMO IMO
