I am just not a believer of manipulation, take China A share as an example, you cant short the index, you cant short most of the stocks, and when government whats to boost the index, u cant short any stocks as the broker just wont lend u the stocks. and now we check where A share stands？ its the least performing index in the world for year 2018. An open market needs to open for both direction for the sake of its heakth.
