I’ve been thinking about the question Dr M is asked at every gathering, viz ‘how can you perform so well at your age’.
Basically his response is that obesity is the prime cause of early decline; ‘nearly everyone eats too much.... and doesn’t take reasonable exercise.’
(We sometimes all forget that he’s a qualified medical doctor, who as a Muslim doesn’t drink alcohol.)
And FWIW, as a 194cm 78YO of BMI 23 who averages 7000 Fitbit steps daily on the farm, the other key I’d add is ‘choose your parents carefully’, lol...
