Blueline well established and well regarded as a competent operator, with plenty of capacity in finishing with the relatively expensive tunnel furnaces. Permitting should not be an issue.

Feed will be a clean mixed carbonate, or maybe a chloride so essentially they'll need to build out the SX train, plastic tanks, pipes & pumps, and probably expand/develop the lab to suit.

Complexity of the SX will depend on the suite they are targeting & the purity they are aiming at, which obviously will be determined by initial offtake agreements.

They have some extremely competent & experienced individuals contracted on a consultancy basis so they will go into this with some confidence, and remembering this won't be a massive volume operation like LAMP so materials handling shouldn't present the same headaches.

Presuming of course it will be SX, perhaps something along the lines of Rapid SX developed by Innovation Metals, Lynas certainly does not have its eyes closed to new tech.

If I had to guess I'd punt 12/18 months, perhaps dependent on the timeline for Govt funding to be approved, which is virtually a given, and likely to be fairly quick based on rhetoric, chance US HRE may even be blessed by a twit.

Lynas will have a ready mkt in Japan, but will be interesting to see what the US can make of the opportunity beyond a PR release.
