GR,imo there are to smaller options besides agl, origin and united.
That would b energy australia or red energy, relatively sml co's but with all the requirements of an energy acquisition..
energy australia foreign owned and i can't c they would b in a rush to exit the business.
The other red energy, govt owned ie a retail gas and electricity supplier/producer,stands out like doggy balls to me re acquisition..
Energy is a win win for tls, they use their energy production to reduce costs its a win or they sell their energy production to increase profit its a win.
I read the manager for tls energy is waiting for the dust to settle, hmm lets c if he is on the ball and doesn't miss out on another obvious opportunity like tls did with eye corp.
And yes, look at origin and agl wanting to get into telecommunications, there desperate to adjust their business model due to changing business conditions, same banks they r desperate to become tech co's because of changing business conditions.
lol Telstra as posted is in the box seat with a competitive advantage in both sectors,
Imo only tls has left it to late late to enter banking, but energy the timing could not b better'
If we had a courageous energy manager backed by a courageous ceo then imo with out doubt tls could become absolutely a major 4th player in the energy retail and production sector ,tls has the competitive advantage for a variety of reasons.
