a lot of truth in your post, unfortunately aussies are similar and wake up too late
I like the term "barbeque stopper" idea, in general aussie will wake up only if someone is pissing on their bbq
also I have to admit it is getting slowly better
few elections before you could win it by declaring a slab of the beer cheaper by $2.50 then the oponent
aussies (myself as an migrant excluded) still are wearing shacles and some like it that way
