I think dollar churn is fine, unless there is something exceptional such as the case of losing a single big customer and the reason behind it or as in another case, lots of little customers (cut for reasons of proportionally high touch low return). If anything unusual happens in the churn I think an explanation as to why is warranted.
Not sure I'm comfortable with the concept of 'negative churn' if there is no clarity. Expanding the number of seats at customer A to offset the loss of customer B in its entirety can potentially paper over significant cracks. I think the land and expand strategy is great but ARR should be broken down into growth from existing customers and seperate from new customers. Imo churn should be total loss of contributions to ARR, not net loss from existing customers as 'negative churn' suggests.
