Hi Billy Boy, looking good my son! Look for good announcements through the next 6 - 8 months. KT is on board, and maybe on THE board at some stage; a few alledged corruption issues to resolve first! Here is some info from back in 2006 re CRVD which has neighbouring tennaments, which you may find of interest:

CVRD may start Mozambique coal output in 2010-govt
    By Charles Mangwiro
MAPUTO, Nov 30 (Reuters) - Brazil's CVRD (VALE5.SA: Quote, Profile, Research) (RIO.N: Quote, Profile, Research) may start producing coal in 2010 at its Moatize coal project in Mozambique, the government said on Thursday after receiving the results of a viability study from CVRD's local unit.
The project, estimated to cost $2 billion, is at one of the biggest unexploited coal deposits in the southern hemishere with around 2.4 billion tonnes of coal.
"2010 is being considered for effective exploitation of coal," Mineral Resources Minister Esperanca Bias told reporters. said. "This is the study which began some 24 months ago in order to evaluate, analyse and clarify possible doubts... if there is a need for CVRD to correct some aspects, we will recommend within 60 days."
A consortium led by Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (CVRD), the world's biggest iron ore producer, won a government tender to revive coal production at Moatize mine after proposing to spend an initial $122.8 million to rehabilite the mine infrastructure, power lines and port facilities.
The company has teamed up with U.S. firm American Metals and Coal International, which has a 5 percent interest in the consortium. CVRD has the remaining 95 percent.
The project is expected to produce around 9 million tonnes of metallurgical coal and 3.5 million tonnes of thermal coal to fuel a power station. The project also includes a railway to a deep water port.
Moatize coal mine, about 1,700 km (1,056 miles) north of the capital Maputo, had been a state-owned company and suffered extensive damage at the height of a civil war that ended in 1992.
Before the damage, the mine was producing and exporting about 500,000 tonnes of coal a year but this has been reduced to only 20,000 tonnes.
The Moatize project is a milestone for CVRD as it is its first coal-mining project and boosts its international operations.

The next key stage will be the solving of the transport to port issues. Whilst CVRD will be a competitor of RIV, they may be forced by the gov't into a pilbra type share arangement IMO. The railway concession was given to a third party - some Indians. Maybe TATA could take this over...also good for RIV!

This share goes into the retirement fund!
