I think everything seems to work in their favour.

step 1: Make the company perform poorly, then everyone losing money.

step 2: pick a location with no major shareholders

step 3: shareholder has no money to afford the flight

step4: mission accomplished, don't have to face the pressure from shareholders.

I think at this stage i don't see anyone would willing to take up a deduction to attend an investment with unrealised capital loss
