There is also talk of the US starting its own rare earths facility. There was a report of some exploratory visits to Malawi in Africa as part of the plan to find a new sources of supply.
As I recall and Aus may know more, back in the day I believe Lynas secured some mineral rights in Malawi and they might still have some sort of claim. In any event it would look good on the assets resume and continue to show that Lynas has worldwide presence...
