Interesting. Cobalt27 is diversified, with investments in two mines in production and also a stockpile of refined cobalt: https://www.cobalt27.com/our-assets/asset-map/ . Not a lot of similarity to CLA, but the takeover does indicate an interest in the future value of cobalt.
