On the face of it, this announcement looks modestly positive. Always good to network and build partnerships.

However, its timing is rather telling, imo.

Why would a company that has been negotiating with 9 tier 1 financial institutions for well over 12 months, with an outcome expected by now, and a major offtake partner for 18 months, which is now way overdue, need to travel overseas to meet financiers and offtakers?

This is a very strong indicator, imo, that both the above negotiations are not going well. Hence the need to drum up more potential partners.
